Searchlight has released The Eyes of Tammy Faye featurette with the films star Jessica Chastain.

Everyone is deserving of love without judgement.

In the three minute clip Chastain shares what inspired her to produce and star in the film about the iconic televangelist.

“When I watched the documentary, I got to know her as a woman who believed that everyone is deserving of love without judgement. and I thought why hasn’t anyone ever made this film and told her story.”

Tammy Faye and her husband, Jim Bakker, rose from humble beginnings to create the world’s largest religious broadcasting network and theme park, and were revered for their message of love, acceptance and prosperity. Tammy Faye was legendary for her indelible eyelashes, her idiosyncratic singing, and her eagerness to embrace people from all walks of life. However, it wasn’t long before financial improprieties, scheming rivals, and scandal toppled their carefully constructed empire.

The film stars Chastain as Tammy Faye and Andrew Garfield as her husband Jim Bakker. It’s an intimate look at the extraordinary rise, fall and redemption of televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker.
