The Women in Sports Power Brunch presented by Champion was held during Super Bowl week in California at the Beverly Wilshire.

The annual event recognizes women who have made an indelible mark in the sports industry, and this year Vanessa Bryant was one of the ladies to get her flowers.

The organization awarded Vanessa with the “Be Your Own Champion” award for her work with the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation. The foundation she founded after the sudden death of her husband the late great Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna “GiGi” Bryant.

Created in 2019 by LaTonya Story, CEO of LPS Consulting PR, the event encourages and empowers ladies to thrive and excel in the sports industry and beyond.

Attendees enjoy a day filled with empowerment, inspired conversations and networking with industry leaders.

Other honorees included Natalie White, Terri Hines, and Denise White.
