After reading all the social media conversations around the new Netflix limited series From Scratch I decided to binge watch it and let me tell ya’ll this is what LOVE should look like down here on earth.

Inspired by the real life love story of NYT’s Bestselling author Tembi Locke, the series stars Zoe Saldana (as Amy an American student studying abroad) and Eugenio Mastrandrea ( a Sicilian chef named Lino).

In dreams as in love, all is possible

Amy and Lino’s whirlwind romance faces many unforeseen challenges, including their very different cultural backgrounds; true to real life. But, their love for one another perseveres.

I am your center

Lino moves to the U.S. to be with Amy as they both attempt to follow their dreams. He struggles to find his place in an unfamiliar land, but Amy along with her family attempt to make him feel at home.

Without giving too much away for those who haven’t watched it yet (what are you waiting on?) they get married and soon after those “til death us do part” vows are put to the test. His family back in Sicily and her family in America come together to create an extended family unlike any they could have imagined, proving that love crosses all borders.

I’m convinced this is God’s vision for love, marriage and family here on earth.
