Zendaya pays homage to Joyce Bryant with Golden Globes dress
Actress Zendaya and her creative director Law Roach channelled history with her Golden Globes look.
For the 82nd annual Golden Globes ceremony, the actress chose an orange strapless custom Louis Vuitton gown, which according to stylist Law Roach, paid homage to Joyce Bryant, a Black singer who broke barriers in the glamorous nightclub scene of the 1940s.
Joyce Bryant was a sultry, four-octave jazz singer known as “the Bronze Blonde Bombshell”, “the Black Marilyn Monroe” and “the Belter.”
