Tyler Perry‘s new Netflix sitcom “She The People” is set to launch in two parts, beginning with the first eight episodes May 22nd. The next eight episodes will premiere on August 14. Netflix has also dropped the show’s official trailer, giving viewers a first look at the political comedy based in Mississippi. (Official Trailer Below)

“She The People” stars Terri J. Vaughn as Mississippi Lieutenant Governor candidate Antoinette Dunkerson, who runs a successful campaign and must then figure out how to thrive under a sexist and condescending governor and keep her family in line now that they’re in the public eye. The series also stars Jade Novah, Drew Olivia Tillman, Tré Boyd, Dyon Brooks and Jo Marie Payton.
