Netflix announced that Sweet Magnolias has been renewed for a 3rd season.

Season 2 which premiered on Netflix in February had everybody in Serenity lives turned upside down and me trying to drink a margarita ( which I don’t even drink).

Maddie, Helen and Dana Sue were mourning the passing of Miss Frances. At the funeral, Ryan asks Helen (who lost their baby and is now in a relationship with Erik) to marry him. Maddie is dealing with the fact that ex-husband Bill got kids by darn near every woman in town. She’s also struggling with the fact that all of a sudden Cal has anger management issues (shoot I’m struggling with that too!). Then there is Dana Sue who broke up with the fine farmer to get back with her ex-husband.

The series takes place in the small town of Serenity, S.C., and stars JoAnna Garcia Swisher as Maddie Townsend, a divorced woman with three children. She and her pals make up the Sweet Magnolias, which also includes Brooke Elliott as chef and restaurant owner Dana Sue Sullivan. The third Sweet Magnolia is Heather Headley as attorney Helen Decatur.
