Regina King is speaking for the first time about the death of her beloved son Ian on GMA.

Grief is just love with no place to go.

King sat down with “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts for an exclusive interview and shared how her late son, Ian Alexander Jr., is still an influence on her.

King told Roberts her starring role as the first Black congresswoman, Shirley Chisholm, in her upcoming film “Shirley” is dedicated to her late son who died by suicide in January 2022 at the age of 26.
