Late Sunday night fans got a sneak peek of Beyonce and Jay Z’s new Tiffany ad campaign “About Love.”
She’s the best singer in the world, and he’s the best rapper in the world, hands down. And we’re the best jewelry company in the world, right? So we kind of had to marry ourselves together to produce this.”
According to reports, the print campaign is to break on Sept. 2 in Harper’s Bazaar U.K. before appearing in other global publications. Then on Sept. 15th a short film with Beyoncé debuting her own arrangement of the famous song from the 1961 movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” Jay-Z is seen in the film/video filming Bey with a Super 8 camera. For the film, or call it a music video, Beyonce conscripted director Emmanuel Adjei, the co-director and creative collaborator of her acclaimed musical film “Black Is King.”
Another piece to the campaign is the Basquiat painting, dating from 1982 and titled “Equals Pi,” hanging in the background. The Carters are known to admire, relate to — and collect his paintings.
On a side-note, the 2021 Met Gala is being held on Sept. 18th, and the Carters are dropping their Tiffany short film/video on the 15th, my guess is we can expect to see them walk the carpet at the MET this year.
