DeVon Franklin will bring GRACE, a new “faith-based detective drama,” to CBS after extending his deal with the studio for two more years.

“GRACE follows a true-blue detective known for his brash, cynical style and a passionate, community-focused pastor who wears her heart on her sleeve reluctantly partner to solve complex crimes as they debate their divergent beliefs while attempting to ignore their growing chemistry.” per Deadline.

Franklin is grateful after he thought his deal with CBS was over after the strike brought everything to a halt.

“When the strikes hit and my deal was suspended, I thought that may have been the end of my tv production company,” he began. “However we sometimes think God is putting a period in our careers where He’s actually putting a comma!”
