Jennifer Hudson paid tribute to Whitney Houston’s iconic 1994 American Music Awards performance during Sunday night’s 50th anniversary special.
Not only did J-Hud belt out a beautiful rendition of “I Love You Porgy” and “I Will Always Love You”, the award winning singer was dressed in black and crystal inspired by Whitney’s same look from 1994.
Styled by Maeve Reilly, Hudson wore a black La Roxx gown complete with sheer detailing and a crystal-embellished neckline and sleeves. She accessorized with dangling drop earrings.
Houston’s look from 30 years ago had a similar silhouette and featured a sweeping cape and turtleneck.
