Tweet set to perform during the 2023 Black Music Honors
The Southern Hummingbird herself, Tweet is set to pay homage to Missy Elliott who will be honored during this years Black Music Honors.
Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott will be given the Music Innovator Icon award during the show that tapes on Friday, May 19th and will air on the Stellar Network TV June 3 with national broadcast syndication starting June 10 – July 2 and an airing on Bounce TV June 19.
Missy co-wrote and is featured on the hit single “Oops” from the singers’ debut album Southern Hummingbird.
Also set to perform are Tamar Braxton; Anthony Hamilton feat. The Ton3s; Tina Campbell of Mary Mary; Robin Thicke; Lil’ Mo; Kenny Lattimore; Raheem DeVaughn; Dave Hollister; Elle Varner; Sevyn Streeter; Pastor Beverly Crawford; Le’Andria Johnson; Zacardi Cortez; Latocha Scott; Juvenile; Kelontae Gavin; and dynamic gospel chorale ensemble Kevin Lemons & Higher Calling.
Other honorees include SWV; R&B Music Icon awarded to singer-songwriter Evelyn “Champagne” King; Legends Award snagged by R&B/Soul crooner Jeffrey Osborne; and Gospel Music Icon set to be received by gospel trailblazers The Hawkins Family.
