Lucille O’Neal and Sonya Curry are mothers to famous basketball players, grandmothers, authors, women of God and now…hosts of TV One’s Raising Fame.

Sonya Curry, the mother of NBA ballers Steph and Seth Curry, recently penned her stories of motherhood, education and Christianity in her first book, Fierce Love: A Memoir of Family, Faith, and Purpose, which was published in 2022.

Lucille O’Neal who is the mother of retired NBA baller Shaquille O’Neal is also an author, she published her memoir Walk Like You Have Somewhere to Go in 2010.

This new series gets candid stories from families who raised some of today’s biggest superstars. Through the personal lens of parents and extended family who guided these extraordinary individuals, RAISING FAME takes a look back at their individual roads to stardom. This season features appearances by Nicki Minaj and her mother, Magic Johnson and his mother, Lil’ Nas X and his father, Billy Porter and his mother, Usher and his mother, and Patrick Mahomes with his father.

The series premieres July 7th on TV One.
