Warner Bros. released the official trailer for the bold new take on The Color Purple movie and based off the emotional trailer we’re in for a treat this Christmas ya’ll.
The bold new take on the award winning film invites moviegoers to experience the extraordinary sisterhood of three women who share one unbreakable bond. This bold new take on the beloved classic is directed by Blitz Bazawule and produced by Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Scott Sanders and Quincy Jones.
“The Color Purple” stars Taraji P. Henson, Danielle Brooks, Colman Domingo, Corey Hawkins, H.E.R., Halle Bailey, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, and Fantasia Barrino (in her major motion picture debut).
The trailer starts with a scene with young Nellie sharing with Celie what she learned about Africa during her school lesson, with Fantasia’s powerful voice singing “I’m Here!” behind them.
