The icon herself, Oprah Winfrey dressed in purple of course, was on Sherri to promote The Color Purple movie remake.

While on the show Sherri asked Lady O her thoughts on her legacy and Ms. Winfrey began to explain what was instilled in her from the late Maya Angelou regarding legacy, and she passed it on to Sherri.

Your legacy is never one thing, it’s every life you touch. and I pass that on to you. because what Mya said to me that day in her kitchen, she said it’s every audience member whoever came from wherever they came from.
