Netflix is about to give us an intimate look into the everyday life of Civil Rights attorney Ben Crump.
On June 19th the streaming service is releasing Civil: Ben Crump.
According to the log-line, the film is an intimate vérité look following the life of the maverick civil rights attorney as he challenges America to come to terms with what it owes his clients—including the families of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.
The film is directed and produced by award-winning filmmaker Nadia Hallgren (Becoming, After Maria, The Show). Produced by Kenya Barris, Roger Ross Williams and Lauren Cioffi.
Because of his dedication to justice, the families of Trayvon Martin, George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Martin Lee Anderson, and Breonna Taylor all turned to Mr. Crump to turn the spotlight of justice on these cases.
