CeCe Winans on Entertainment Tonight
Gospel music legend and my fav CeCe Winans sat down with Kevin Frazier on Entertainment Tonight to discuss her Grammy nominations and her late friend Whitney Houston. It’s been 10 years since her tragic passing the night before the Grammys.
The award winning Gospel singer won in all 3 categories during Sunday night’s 64th annual Grammy Awards celebration, including Best Gospel Album for Believe For It.
During her sit down with Kevin Frazier, CeCe also shared some behind the scenes tea on her iconic Grammy performance with her late friend Whitney. The two performed “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” together.
Come to find out the CeCe and Whitney performance almost didn’t happen.
“We put in a request to do a Gospel segment and if I remember right, they said if Whitney will be a part of It then we will do it. so, she came to make sure that it happened.”
The two also reflected on clips from the CBS Special Whitney, A Look Back (hosted by Kevin Frazier) where Winans shared how Whitney would sometimes attend church with her on Sunday mornings, how she was a big kid, and loved to go to White Castle’s in a limo. CeCe was a part of that special which aired on CBS Grammy weekend.
If you didn’t get a chance to watch it, no worries it’s available o Hulu and On Demand.
