Showtime’s The First Lady has partnered with The Ritz Carlton to turn their Presidential Suites into the First Lady Suites ahead of the series debut and guess what? You can book a stay!
Starring Viola Davis as Michelle Obama, Michelle Pfeiffer as Betty Ford and Gillian Anderson as Eleanor Roosevelt, the upcoming anthology series is a revelatory reframing of American leadership, told through the lens of the women at the heart of the White House.
Beginning in April, Ritz-Carlton properties from each of the ladies home-town will feature presidential suites reimagined as The First Lady Suites, offering members of Marriott’s award-winning travel program, Marriott Bonvoy®, as well as the public a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the worlds of the First Ladies portrayed in the series.
Fans of the FDR era can stay at The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park; the Ford era at The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles; the Obama era at The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago, and the eras of all three at The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C.
Each suite will include actual set pieces and props from the production set such as a bespoke replica of President Franklin Roosevelt’s wheelchair, a model building of the Betty Ford Center and a replica of boxing gloves from the Obama era Let’s Move! health initiative. In addition, each hotel will display elegant period costumes worn by the actors in the series and offer themed beverages and cocktails in its bars and restaurants.
The anthology series premieres Sunday, April 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. on Showtime.
