Actress Raquel Welch passed away early Wednesday morning after a brief illness, a spokesperson for the actor’s management company confirmed in a statement to NBC News. She was 82.
In a career lasting almost six decades, the actress/sex symbol was a two-time Golden Globe nominee, winning Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, for her role in the 1973’s The Three Musketeers as Constance de B’onacieux, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
My prayers are with the Welch family during their time of bereavement.
